Core obligations

Three obligations every provider should track

Each obligation below applies at a different stage of a provider's activity, from launch to ongoing reporting.

Registration declaration

A training activity must be declared to the competent regional authority, the prefecture of the region, when it begins. The declaration is a formal prerequisite before the activity is delivered.

Qualiopi certification

The Qualiopi quality standard is required to access certain mutualized and public financing. Certification is assessed against national quality criteria covering information, training design, and results.

Annual reporting

Providers must file an annual activity report, the bilan pédagogique et financier (BPF), covering training volumes, trainees, and financial results. Check current filing deadlines on the official portal.

Surveillance

How quality is monitored and enforced

Certified providers are subject to periodic surveillance audits to confirm that the quality criteria remain met over the certification period. Where a non-conformity is identified, the provider is generally given a deadline to remediate it, and the certifying body may issue a reminder or, in serious cases, suspend or withdraw certification.

Loss or suspension of certification can affect eligibility for public and mutualized funding. Because the rules and their application can change, verify the current procedure and the sources cited in our legal news before acting.
